What a beautiful day it was today! I had breakfast outside. It was a great way to start the day.

Welcome to Island Time, my blog about living and working on the Isle of Palms, SC. Today was a warm,beautiful day here, filled with sunshine. A light breeze blew the palmetto trees around. I think late August and September are the best months for the beach. Most of the tourists have left, but the weather is still warm and so is the water.

I am sitting by the pool now. Being near water is so calming. The pool is still an unhealthy shade of green, but it is much better than yesterday. There are fewer mosquitoes out. I hope this is a late summer trend.
